Honor Goblet presented to Luftwaffe Unteroffizier Friedrich Hamerl, who was a German Cross in Gold Winner, and who was a pilot who served in Kampfsgeshwader 51.? This unit flew the HE-111 bomber during the French campaign, and then the JU88 during the Battle of Britain and Russia.? He was wounded in 1943, at just about the time the unit was transformed into an Air Defense Unit.? The goblet is an ALPACA version, with a perfectly straight base and no dents to the goblet itself.? Sliver plating is nearly 100% on this goblet, with a very pleasing patina pattern.? Box shows light wear on the corners, and some other minor wear points (mostly on the bottom of the box).? Interior is flawless.? Comes with some paperwork forom the Berlin Document Center about this officer, and about his unit.
