Set of matching WWI Era swords that have been turned into candlesticks. I say "matching" but there's a twist. They match with respect to construction, having no doubt been made at the same time by the same artisan. However, one must have been stored in a different part of the house, because the fire gold finish has faded, revealing the brass metal beneath. So we have two here. One has a FULL and BRIGHT fire-gold finish, and the other is more muted. These still do make a handsome paring for your dining room table (no swastikas anywhere).
