Beautiful example of a 1940s style ring, with a 1934 date. This indicates that Roder was awarded the TK ring in 1934, and ordered this ring as a replacement. Sometimes, a new date is used. However, more often, we see the original date used in the re-issue ring (requests for new rings that I have seen include the original interior engraved date on the application). This ring belonged to Phillip Röder, who held SS Number 4097, which makes sense given the fact that he had a June 30, 1934 ring. The ring shows minor wear on the exterior, with most of it occuring on the back portion. Details are still crisp, and there is some wear on the teeth of the skull. Seam behind the skull is partially visible. I obtained this ring in trade from another dealer, and it has never before been on the market. Originally obtained directly from the family in Germany. Don Boyle certified.
