Heesch is researchable, and my records show him as having entered the SS and having attended Bad Tolz in 1937. Chef of the 12th Battalion, Police Infantry Regiment 2 as of August 1941.
 
He was killed on 11.9.41, and I don't have more information than this. The ring shows a very deep patina, full burnishing. I am having closer photographs taken of this ring, and I will post them as soon as I receive them.
