REFERENCE ONLY. (SOLD or NOT FOR SALE)
Here's a fine RZM SS dagger that's not perfect but is also priced accordingly. This is an RZM piece, and is maker marked RZM 534/38/SS on the reverse of the blade. The blade retains 95% of its original cross graining and other than a few grey spots and light freckling, is still bright. The wood handle shows some chipping, especially at the reverse top edge and obverse lower corner. The chips have been blackened, so do not draw undue attention to themselves. The crossguards are nickel plated and retain pretty much all of their finish, as does the grip eagle, while the SS runic button shows the copper or tombak base metal with only a bit of silver plating left. The scabbard is glossy black finished while the upper plated fitting shows a light amount of surface corrosion near the dagger ring (I've pictured this). The hanger was likely from an NSKK dagger, as it's RZM marked and dated 1939, but not SS marked. The clip is also RZM maker coded. Overall it really looks much better than it sounds, and I've priced it accordingly. If you don't want to spend big money for an SS dagger, this one may be for you!
