Pins are in mint condition, and are dated January 30, 1943. These sets were given out personally by Adolph Hitler to individuals who he believed deserved special recognition for service to the party, but who were not among the original 100,000 party members. Enamel on these examples is in perfect condition, and each piece exhibits hardly any wear to the gold finish. The red box is perfect. Also of interest is the fact that this box, which matches perfectly boxes of this type pictured in the relevant reference books, was cut for a military-style large pin. The large pin, therefore, sits at a 90 degree angle in the box. This is a curious feature, but does not detract from the group. Comes complete with an expertise from Detlev Niemann, who has physically inspected this set. More information available upon request.
