REFERENCE ONLY. (SOLD or NOT FOR SALE)
The ADAC (Allgemeiner deutscher Automobil Club or General German Automobile Club) was one of the oldest and largest Auto Clubs in Germany until superceded by the DDAC in the 1930s. This is a beautifully detailed badge from the Gau Rheinpfalz area club, and features a Rheinpfalz eagle with a non-mobile swastika on its chest and the wording 'Gau 14 Rheinpfalz'. Surrounding the eagle is a laurel and oakleaf wreath, with sharp details and lovely design. The badge reverse features a wide pin and is maker marked. The condition is excellent, with only subtle age. The badge may be a merit award, or a sport badge--I haven't had time to research it fully. In any case, it's a rare and early beauty!
