Scabbard shell is straight, dent free, and suffers from minor paint wear. Overall, paint grades about 90%. Plated external fittings are crisp, with very little age. Sword knot is in like-new condition. Grip on this example is stunning, with 99% of the black lacqueur over wood still remaining. Overall, a very attractive sword in extremely fine condition. In my opinion, these swords are the "sleepers" of the market.
