The SA Truppführer is wearing a custom tailored uniform with a single 4mm long service stripe on the each cuff, which would indicate that he had joined the SA sometime between 1. January 1932 and 30. January 1933. He is wearing 2 badges, which appear to be an SA Sport badge and possibly a DRL badge. He was a member of the staff of Standarte 128, which was based in Danzig, located at the time in group Ostland. The frame, which still has the original store price label on the reverse, is a metal type with folded over tabs. I believe the man's name may be on the reverse of the photo, but I didn't want to chance breaking the frame tabs by bending them to remove the photo. There was an easel mount on the cardboard reverse, which has been lost to time, but both hanging rings are still present. A great portrait to display with an SA dagger! Please note: the photo and frame do not include glass, which was broken in the past and is no longer here. Should be VERY easy to replace with a short trip to Michael's.
