In June 1943, 3 higher grade of the Panzer Assault Badge were instituted. This is a fine example of the Grade II award for 25 days of combat, and features the '25' mounted on the badge obverse. The badge appears to be an unmarked JFS with solid back and crimped hinge and catch. The pin is tapered and the rivets are the round headed types. The badge retains a conservative 96% of the original factory silvered finish and 98% of the dull grey finish to the separately attached tank. Most examples of the 25 Panzer Assault badge feature faded or totally worn finish, so this is truly a choice beauty! A classic and classy example of the numbered Panzer Assault badge!
