The Marksmanship awards were very highly regarded among Army enlisted and NCO ranks. This is an early (1936 to 1938) version of the grade 4 award which features 3 bullion acorns. The shield is matte silver, the braided cording is aluminum bullion, and the acorns are of matching aluminum bullion. The piece shows only very light wear with some nips to the reverse backing material of the shield portion. Choice and getting very difficult to find! Absolutely perfect for display with an enlisted or NCO parade tunic!
