REFERENCE ONLY. (SOLD or NOT FOR SALE) Outstanding piece by Puma, a very desirable manufacturer of SA Daggers. Exterior is quite clean. Other than a dent in the reverse of the scabbard, it's a real looker. 3 Piece hanger is original to the piece, fittings show an even patina. Wood grip is free of cracks and chips. On the reverse of the grip, you can see some slight damage where the dagger was worn and bumped against something - perhaps a button, or the hanger. Scabbard ball is slightly impacted. Blade is stunning, grading almost mint. 100% cross-grain remains, obverse motto is deeply etched with 100% of the grey burnishing remaining. Tip is needle-like. There are light runner marks, and a couple of very minor smudges on the reverse that should with a little work with semichrome, all but disappear. This is the kind of dagger that sold for $1095 during the heyday of the SA market.
