A scarce original example of the traffic wand used by the NSKK Verkehrs-Erziehungsdienst (NSKK Traffic Educational Service).  There have been several different reproduction versions of these wands on the market over the last 10-15 years, but this is a very difficult to find original example.  The head of the wand features a double sided insignia with the NSKK eagle in the center, a red border, and the name of the organization along the border.  The head piece is attached to a wooden handle via 2 screws and at the opposite end is a hole with a tether cord.  The piece shows age and use, with some very minor edge chipping and some darkening to the wood where the screws have somewhat oxidized, but overall it's in exceptional condition.  The NSKK Verhehrs-Erziehungsdienst members were responsible for teaching driving and traffic safely to the NSKK and Hitler Youth, as well as providing instructional aids for the general population.
