To begin, body is a very fine grade wool. One or two ultra-tiny snags to the wool - I would hardly call them moth-nips. You really have to look to see them. Wool is a very subdued grey. Piping has faded slightly, but it is still abundantly clear that it is red for artillery. Green band is well preserved, with another two tiny nips - you can't even see them due to the dark color. Eagle and cockade device show a matching aluminum finish, and red cotton felt liniing remains to the center of the cockade. Bill shows minor crazing. Interior sweatband has been resewn - you can see the old holes from the factory stitching. It is also split on one side. Interior is a yellow silk/rayon, and features manufacturing logo in gold and red. Sweatshield is missing. Overall, a very nice visor that would go perfectly with a combat uniform, an assault-gunner wrapper, or even in a hat collection.
